National Day Against Bullying - Pink T-Shirt Day

National Day Against Bullying is an important date that reminds us of the importance of preventing and combating violence against and among children and young people. This day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the harmful consequences of bullying and promotes ways that can help prevent violence. In 2017, the Croatian Parliament declared that last Wednesday in February marks as National day of fight against peer violence. Pink T-shirts as a symbol of the global fight against bullying were chosen after the 2007 incident of bullying against a high school student in the Canadian town of Berwick, who was bullied by his classmates because he came to school wearing a pink T-shirt in support of his mother who had breast cancer. In protest against this bullying incident, the boy's friends wore pink T-shirts and set off a wave of events that resulted in the commemoration of Pink T-shirt Day around the world, all with the aim of combating peer violence in all its forms.

Students who participated in training courses as part of the project "NO to Violence - YES to Tolerance" were given pink T-shirts and balloons. February 28, 2024. mark the National Day of Combating Bullying.
