{"id":11425,"date":"2023-12-21T19:19:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-21T18:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.hl-dizajn.com\/?p=11425"},"modified":"2024-02-12T19:24:51","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:24:51","slug":"izazovi-lijecenja-i-tjelovjezbe-kod-md-i-nmb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.hl-dizajn.com\/en\/izazovi-lijecenja-i-tjelovjezbe-kod-md-i-nmb\/","title":{"rendered":"Treatment and exercise challenges in MD and NMB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, SDDH held an education session for people with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular diseases and their family members entitled &quot;Challenges of Treatment and Exercise in Muscular Dystrophy (MD) and Neuromuscular Diseases (NMD)&quot;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training was opened with welcoming remarks by Marica Miri\u0107, president of SDDH, and Nata\u0161a Tro\u0161t, representative of Biogen Pharma doo, which donated funds to enable the training, followed by a screening of the SDDH documentary film &quot;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0oLcm80CZJE\"><em><strong>Experiences of treating people with SMA \u2013 Buds of new hope<\/strong><\/em><\/a>&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her review of the film, Marica Miri\u0107 emphasized the importance of the participation of doctors and the professional observations and conclusions that the film brings, as well as the presentation of personal experiences of people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) after entering treatment, which especially encourages the community of people with SMA to take the necessary steps to be included in the treatment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the screening of the film, Slobodan Marinkovi\u0107, expert associate \u2013 physiotherapist at SDDH, gave a presentation on the topic of the importance of exercise in people with NMB, or why it is crucial to exercise if you are taking medication for MD or NMB. He pointed out that the body does not like to spend energy where it does not need to and that when inactive, seeing that the muscles are not being used, the body slowly \u201callows\u201d the muscles to start deteriorating, which is why it is necessary to exercise regularly within the limits of individual capabilities.
