On Friday, March 15, 2024, the Final Conference of the project "NO to Violence - YES to Tolerance" was held via the Zoom platform. The project was implemented by the Croatian Federation of Dystrophic Societies in partnership with the Zagreb Vocational School for Personal Services, and was financed from the 2023 budget of the City of Zagreb. The aim of the project was to improve students' knowledge of children's and human rights and contribute to reducing all forms of violence against and among children in order to increase tolerance of diversity.
After the introductory speech by the president of SDDH Marica Mirić, who welcomed the principals, psychologists and other professional staff from all schools that participated in the Project and thanked them for the support they provided, the project leader Mirna Plećaš Ilić presented the results of the Project.
Project activities improved the knowledge of students in 11 primary and secondary schools in Zagreb about human and children's rights, empowered them to accept diversity, prevent and recognize violence, and directly involved 258 students in the training. During the trainings, 300 pink T-shirts and balloons with the inscription "Stop Peer Violence" were distributed to students, thus encouraging them to mark the National Day of Combating Peer Violence - Pink T-Shirt Day.
Dragana Budimir, SDDH psychologist, who conducted education in schools, pointed out that the interest of the students during the education and the numerous questions they asked were an indicator of the importance of the subject of peer violence and the desire of the students to take an active role in reducing violence and increasing tolerance and understanding of diversity.

25 people participated in the Final Conference.

The project "NO TO VIOLENCE - YES TO TOLERANCE" was financed from the budget of the City of Zagreb, and approved within the framework of the Public tender for financing programs and projects of associations in the field of social and humanitarian importance for improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities from the Budget of the City of Zagreb for 2023.
